FANCY DRESS BALL. (Own Correspondent.) , There was a record attendance at the plain and fancy dress ball held m the iiaumoaua Hall on Boxing night, lhe room was packed to its utmost capacity. The S upp er room was attractively decorated sue streamers, evergreens and flowers. Great credit is due to the organiser, Mrs Estaugh, for the great success of the function and for the smooth way in which everything worked. Good music was supplied by Walden’s orchestra, and extras were played by All's Castle and Mr R. Pell. The suppei arrangements were in the capable hands of Mesdames Estaugh, Koss, Scott, Kelsall, Castle, and Calnan. Messrs Gordon and Scott made efficient M’s.C. Mrs Estaugh, Miss J. Gordon, and Airs lohansou won the ladies’ fancy dress prizes, and Alessrs C. Scott, W. Barlow, and J. Calnan wore the winners of the gentlemen’s prizes.
