As a result, of a collision between a motor cycle and a light motor truck on the Eskdale road, at the Wairoa turn off, two young men, Jack Dokin and Ken Scott, were admitted to the Napier Hospital suffering from severe injuries. It appears that the truck, driven by John Bennett, of Eskdale, was travelling along the Eskdale road at a slow speed. As the driver was about to turn on to the Wairoa .road the motor cycle, driven by Scott, with Dokin riding pillioin, camo up, and for some yet unexplained reason crashed into the side of the truck, Scott being thrown 40 feet as a result of the impact. The cycle was extensively damaged, and repairs will also be necessary to the truck. This morning both Scott and Dakin were reported to be progressing favourably.

BOY INJURED. On Saturday afternoon a young boy named Lynan was admitted to the Napier Hospital suffering from injuries sustained through the wheel of a motor-car driven by William Anderson, public accountant, passing over him in Carlyle street. Sir Anderson was backing the car, when he felt a bump, and on investigation found the boy on the road. Apparently the rear wheels had missed the boy. who was struck by the front ones. The road had seemed clear of traffic, and it is difficult to know how the boy happened to be so close. Lynan is reported by the hospital authorities to be doing well.
