KILMISTER BREAKS RECORD. (Per Pre«« Association.! Wellington, Dec. 28. There was a good attendance at the Kilbirni* Stadium on Saturday night, when some excellent and exciting dirt track motor eyele raring occurred. Undoubtedly the star rider of the eight was Wally Kilraistcr, who won th* contest for the Golden Helmet and also the international flying six invitation scratch race and the first semi-final of the grand holiday handicap. His time was 85 seconds, which constitutes a New Zealand record for a standing start, the previous record of 85 2-5 seconds bring held jointly by Kilmister and W. Harvic. A dislocated left shoulder was received by J. Richards, living at 69 Ellis street, when he fell while riding. Results:— Grand Holiday Handicap: C. Tonks I, W. Kilmistter 2, P. Phillips 3.
