NEWSPRINT PRICES
TRADE TROUBLE FORECAST. LUnited Press Association—By CabJe— Copyright.) New York, Sept. 25. Colonel John Price, president of Price Brothers and Company, one of tho largo Canadian newsprint manufacturers, resigned to-day the chairmanship of ttle Newsprint Institute of Canada, charging members whom ho did not name with failing to live up to tho rules of the organisation. He intimated that his resignation was prompted by the fact that although tho institute agreed to an increase in December ,they were virtually making readjustments through the sale of newsprint stock to publishers. It is believed in some quarters that tho resignation presages a price war in newsprint.
