TREASON TRIAL

HITLER CAUSES SENSATION “FASCISM VICTORIOUS,'' REVOLUTION PREDICTED. [United Press Association—By CableCopyright.] (Received 26, 8.45 a.m.) Leipzic, Sept. 25. Cheers and cries of “Wake up, Germany!’’ greeted Herr Hitler, who arrived to give evidence in the treason trial. Uproar broke out when he stated that at the moment Fascism was victorious and a new Supreme Court would be established to expiate the crimes of November, 1918. "Then,” he said "heads will roll off in the sand. In another couple of elections the Fascist party will ly-ise, repudiate and smash all treaties forced on us. Then there will be a revolution here.” Hitler is convinced that a new party has to be created from members possessing a fanatical love of the Fatherland. There should be an invincible fighting spirit and absolute obedience to their leaders. HITLER’S WARNING. (United Proas Association—By CableCopyright.l London, Sept. 25. Hitler in an article being published in the next issue of the “Sunday Express,” writes: “The elections reveal the soul of Germany and have given the lie to those statesmen who acquiesced in the economic enslavement of the entire nation and created the impression that the German people are resigned to this enforced transfusion of their life blood to France, England and America. “Let not the world deceive itself. The German people are determined to secure freedom and the right to live.” A previous message stated: —The Attorney-General, at the request of the Ministry of Defence, has opened an inquiry which may lead to a charge of high treason against Hitler and Goebels, leaders of the Nationalists and the Socialist Party respectively. GENERAL MARKET SLUMP. (United Press Association—By CableCopyright.) . (Received 26, 9.30 a.m.) Berlin, Sept. 25. Slumps on the Berlin and Frankfurt stock exchanges followed Herr Hitler’s Leipzig speech. Shares fell from six to twenty points. It is feared in Bourse circles that revolutionary preparations have been advanced further than the authorities realise, but the police ridicule apprehensions and regard the speech as purely propaganda. Hitler has called off the Potsdam parade for September 28.
