At last night’s meeting of the Central Hawke's Bay Rugby SubUnion the Onga Onga Club notified that they were unable to carry on in the senior competition. They applied f<>> the re-gr-»ding to ii’"'or of three players, whilst six other meuioers oi the senior hiteen appli«-d tor transfers to various clubs. The chairman (Mr. Williams) stated it would be with much regret that Onga Onga would have to withdraw from the competition, as it would be detrimental to the game. He. thought there was still a chance of keeping them if the union held a meeting amongst players and supoprters at Onga Onga. The union considered the idea an excellent one and it was decided to endeavour to hold the meeting on Tuesday evening next. In the meantime the application for withdrawal was withheld, and the transfers and regrading were not allowed.
