JN ACCORDANCE with the provisions of the Education Act, 1914, and its amendments, it is hereby notified that as the number of candidates nominated was equal to the number of vacancies to be filled, the following are declared duly elected as members of the Education Board of the District of Hawke’s Bay:— To represent the North Ward of the Rural Area: SMITH, Walter Henry To represent the South Ward of the Rural Area: QUIGLEY, Herbert Sydney McGowan To represent the Gisborne Urban Area: COLEMAN, Thomas Alston To represent the Napier Urban Area: WRIGHT, ROBERT Colburn To represent the Hastings Urban Area: LASSEN, Christian. IT IS FURTHER NOTIFIED that on WEDNESDAY, the 16th day of JULY, 1930, an Election will be held of one member for the Middle Ward of the Rural Area. The following are the names of the duly qualified candidates:— WAITE, Ernest Albert Victor KING, Archibald FROST, Frederick Ledger The Poll will close at 5 o’clock in tho afternoon of the day of election. Every duly qualified member of a School Committee in the said Ward will receive from the Chairman of such Committee a Voting Paper, which when the vote has been exercised, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, marked on the outside "Voting Paper,” and must be either delivered to the Returning Officer at the Board’s Office, Browning Street, Napier, not later than 5 o’clock in the afternoon of the day of election, or posted to tho Returning Officer not later than the day of election.
