DEPUTY LEADER APPOINTED. MR. R. MASTERS. (From our Special Parliamentary Reporter.) Parlt. Buildings, June 27. The Prime Minister (Hon. G. W. Forbes) announced this afternoon that Mr. R. Masters had been appointed deputy-leader of the Legislative Council. Mr. Forbes stated that Mr. Masters’ business and financial experience would be invaluable to the Council in dealing with the manifold problems facing the country.
