RABBIT BOARDS

CONFERENCE AT FEILDING. (Per Press Association.] Feilding, June 11. The North Island Rabbit Boards’ conference was held here to-day. Mr. K. W. Dalrymple presiding over 35 delegates. Remits were passed that the whole of the North Island should be included in some rabbit board area and that the Government so enact that no permits be issued for the keeping of Chinchilla od Angora rabbits in rabbit hoard districts. That the conference favoured the removal of the protection of stoats and weasels in strictly forest areas The conference rejected the proposal that a Government subsidy be paid to a hoard of less than 20,000 acres The delegates were opposed to small boards. Officers elected were: President. Mr K. W. Dalrvmple: vice-president, Mr B N Sandilands: executive. Messrs. C E. Johnston. F. G. Raikes, W. L Grice. The next conference will ho held at Feilding.
