SALE AT FEILDING.

Feilding, March 7.

About 20,000 head of sbeep and cattle were yarded at the stock sale to-day, a largo proportion being breed ing ewes. Fat sheep showed practically no alteration in prices, but breeding ewes were down considerably, many lines offering being passed in. Ewes generally were not up to the standard set at the ewe fair a couple of weeks ago. Fat sheep.—Lambs 15» lOd, wethers prime 26s to 26s 6d, good 25s 6d, medium 23s to 245, ewes prime 20s 3d to 21s maiden), good 17s to 17s lOd, medium 15s lOd to 16s 9d. Stores. —Breeding ewes two-tooths best 32s Id to 345, good 26s M, other lines from 23s 8d to 24s four-tooth 21s 3d, four and five-year best 25s Id, fixe-year 17s to 18s Id. Lambs —B.f. 15s 4d, ewe lambs IBs and 15s 4<l, wether lambs 14s. Fat cattle.—Prime P.A. cows £lO 12s to £lO 15s, Hereford bullocks £lO 10s to £l2 7s "6d, Shorthorn cows £9, heifers £ll to £ll 15s, Jersey rows heavy £lO 7s 6d to £ll, light £8 2s 6d, fat steers £6 to £6 15s. HORSE SALE. Messrs Hoadley, Son and Stewart Ltd., report having held a successful horse sale at the Siortford Lodge yards yesterday, on account of Messrs T. Crosse and W. McGaffir..
