STORTFORD LODGE STOCK SALE. BROKERS’ REPORTS. The Hawke’s Bay Stock Brokers’ Association report holding their weekly sale at the Stortford Lodge Saleyards yesterday, when they offered for sale a medium yarding of cattle and a small yarding of sheep. _ A shorter market showed a firming tendency. There was a good attendance of buyers. The prices ranged as under:—Fat bullocks, £l4 to £l5 16/-; fat cows (light), £7; to £l2 7/6 (heavy); prime heifers, £ll to £l2 15/-; 2 and 4-ycar bulls, £9 14/6 to £ll 12/-; pearling steers to £5 16/-; empty cows, to £4 7/6; cow and calf, £6 8/6; dairy cow, £7 7/6; bullocks, to £ll 11/-; shorn fat wethers, 26/3; shorn ewes, 17/7 (light) 24/6 (prime); woolly fat ewes to 26/-; fat lambs, 20/6 to 25/7; woolly fat hoggets to 27/-; 4 and 6-th. wethers, 22/9; m.s. woolly hoggets, 21/1.
