McOonachy, playing, has reached 5122, including 555, 388, 227 and 705, while Davis is 2125, including 272. Smith had all the better of today's exchanges, despite Lindrum’s break of over 1000. Smith scored 2271, an average of 252 per innings, and Lindrum 1712, an average of 190.
In the Davis-McConachy match, McOonachy started with a lead of 788 and was in play with 406. He took his break to 555, breaking down on a difficult cushion cannon. McMonachy appeared to find the running conditions to his liking, each break representing brilliant play. He failed in the second when trying to play the red into the middle pocket from an acute angle.
