SWIMMING
THE MAHORA CLUB. USUAL WEEKLY MEETING. The usual weekly meeting of the Mahora Swimming and Life Saving Club was held in the schoolroom last evening. Present: Messrs W. Horne (chair), C. Lassen, J. Wise, H. Hearn, L. Craven, A. Crawford, E. Tayler, R. Giorgi, and L. F. Taylor. Letters were received from tho Hvretaunga Club enclosing a copy of the business of the combined meeting, and also a copy of the programme for their opening night; also a letter from the president, Mr. G. A. Maddison, wishing the club a successful season, and enclosing a donation to the club funds. An account for £2 2/- was passed for payment. After a little discussion it was decided to postpone the opening carnival for a week. Messis W Horne, J. Wise, and C. Lassen were elected to represent the club at She combined committee meeting n. kt Tuesday evening. On Mr Hearn’s motion, it was decided ’» call an extraordinary general nw sting of members for next Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock to discuss an important subject. Mr. fl. Giorgi gave notice that ho intend vl to move at the genera! meeting: "That all trophies won bv members »> club nights bo withheld until the end of the season, the member t. receive one order covering hi# total f’uniugs."-
