PUBLIC NOTICES, HASTINGS BOROUGH COUNCIL. ■yOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Hastings Borough Council proposes under the provisions of Section 17 of The Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1928, to apply by Petition to the Governor-General for the issue of a Proclamation altering the boundaries of the Borough of Hastings so as to exclude from the Borough of Hastings and include in the Heretaunga Riding of the County of .Hawke’s Bay certain lands in respect of which there are no electors, situated within the Borough of Hastings. The lands referred to are:— FIRSTLY all that area of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District being portions of Maraekakaho and Pakowhai Roads, commencing at. a point in line with the South-western side of Wall Road on the westernmost corner of the Hastings Borough Boundary, and bounded towards the north-west by the north-western side of Maraekakaho Road to its junction witn Omahu Road; thence by a right line to and along the north-western side of Pakowhai Road to the northernmost corner of the existing Hastings Borough boundary, thence towards the north-east by the said Borough boundary as described in New Zealand Gazette 1886 page 985, crossing the aforesaid Pakowhai Road to its south-eastern side; v thence towards the south-east by the south-eastern side of the said Pakowhai Road to its junction with Heretaunga Street; thence by a right line to and by the south-eastern side of Maraekakaho Road to its intersection with the south-western side of Wall Road on the existing Borough boundary; thence towards the south-west by tho south-western side of Wall Road produced to the point of commencement. SECONDLY all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District being portion of Karamu Road North, commencing at a point on the easternmost corner of Subdivision 24, as shewn on Deposited Plan Number 979, and bounded towards the north-west by the north-western side of the said Karamu Road North, along the existing Borough boundary, to a point of intersection with tho north-eastern side of Collinge Road produced; thence towards the north-east by the production of the said north-eastern side of Collinge Rond, along the existing Borough boundary to the south-eastern side of the said Karamu Road North; thence towards tho south-east by the south-eastern side of the said Karainu Road North to a point of intersection with the production of the north-eastern boundary of Subdivision 24 on Deposited Plan Number 979 aforesaid; thence towards tho south-east by that production to the easternmost, corner of the aforesaid Subdivision 24 on the aforesaid Deposited Plan Number 979 the point of commencement.
