ATHLETIC MEETING. .VERY SUCCESSFUL FIXTURE. (Own Correspondent.) The third annual gathering of the Waipawa Athletic Sports Club was held at Coronation Park yesterday. The fields were large and tho finishing of several events very oxciting. The attendance was large and the con dit ions for patrons very enjoyable, the overhanging trees surrounding the track tempering the sun’s rays. A noticeable feature of these events of late years is the number of girl competitors in events for ladies. Mr W. Cade (hon secretary) is to be congratulated on the success of the function.
