After the High Council had conferred, they asked that the Chancery case should be adjourned till Friday, the interim injunction meanwhile to continue. The High Council intimated tlr.C it hoped that the evidence would be ready on Wednesday. Mr. Greene. K.C., on behalf of General Booth, said that the defendants had no doubt acted with the best motives, but harmfully. They had issued a document criticising General Booth for initiating the proceedings. The General, howevei, had acted on legal advice and not from personal motives. The constitutional position rather than the narrow legal proceedings had to be cleared up. The application was granted.
