Forecast for 24 hours from 9 a m. to-day, covering the area between Wairoa, Te Ante and the ranges inland The Antarctic disturbance which has been threatening for so long is now crossing the Dominion and chiefly operates south from the narallel or 38 degrees. Its potential, however, has apparently been largely expended owing to its long stay in the eastern Tasman. Thus, only scattered precipitation with possibly some local thunder may be expected Otherwise chiefly fair to fine and hot weather should continue Winds between north-west, west and south-south-west. Seas moderate to heavy: swell later.
