Drunken Quarrel Leads to Murder: James Blair, aged 60 years, a ship’s carpenter, was murdered with a razor during a drunken quarrel in a Sydney city lodging house on Saturday night. Malcolm McKinnon has been arrested and charged with murder. Blair’s face and neck were dreadfully slashed one side of his face being gashed from the temple to his neck. A second cut extended right across his face from cheek to cheek, while the jugular vein was severed by a cut extending to the left breast. Blair lived only a few minutes.
