COLEMAN WINS N.I. CHAMPIONSHIP. MEETING AT TARATAHI. Carterton, Jan. 21. The Wairarapa Motor Cycle Club motor sports were held on the Taratahi racecourse on Saturday afternoon in glorious weather The track was in splendid order and very fast. There were large fields and a good attendance. In the first race. Crozier fell, Allen somersaulting over him. hut the riders were unhurt though their machines were damaged. In the third race. F. Russell, n Wellington rider, left the track and crashed through the fence, being sent to Masterton Hospital with concussion and cuts. Results:— Novice Cup. 5 miles.—Lundius 1. Radcliffe 2, Rinaldi 3 Time 4.57 3-5 Won by 15 yards. Lightweight Championship, 7 miles —Morgan 1. Kilmister 2. Goodwin 3. Time, 6.58 4-5. Won by half a mile. Five Nfile Handicap. H class— Sutherland 1. Radcliffe 2. Rinaldi 3 Time. 4.44 4-5. Won by 10 vnrrls. Championship of New Zealand. 12 miles.— P Coleman 1 D Managh 2 W Allen 3 The only starters. Time, 10.17 1-5.
