SIDE-CAR MOUNTAINEERING
Ben Nevis has once more been conquered, and this time by a motorcycle and side-ear driven by James Taylor of Denny, who had a passenger with him. Mr. Taylor and his companion left the base of the mountain at 11 o’clock in the morning. Tile halfway house was reached by 1 o’clock, and the summit achieved about 4.30 without untoward event. Snow was falling when they readied the top. The return journey to Fort William was accomplished in two hours.
