CANTERBURY FARMERS’ CO-OP. REPORT. Christchurch, Sept. 4. The annual report of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury, Ltd., shows a marked improvement in the company’s affairs during the year. The net profit for the year amounted to £38,251, which, with a balance of £21,772 brought forward, makes £60,023 available for distribution. The directors recommend the payment of two years’ dividends, for 1927 and 1928, of 6 per cent of first preference shares, absorbing £lB,OOO, and a six months’ dividend at 6 pei cent. on A preference shares, amounting to £6OOO. The board recommends also that £9OOO be written off machinery, plant, buildings, and that, £lO,OOO be placed to. the special reserve fund, leaving £17,023 to be carried forward.
