AIMS OF COMMUNISM

STARTLING REVELATIONS. “DESTROY BRITISH EMPIRE.” Sydney, July 27. Interesting, and at the same time alarming, revelations as to the aims of Red Internationale, and incidentally of the Pan Pacific Secretariat, which is associated with the Red Internationale, were made this week by Mrs Pankhurst Walsh, an organiser of the Industrial Peace Movement. Mrs Walsh is the wife of Mr Tom Walsh, formerly secretary and a prominent leader of the Seamen’s Union.

Mrs Walsh made available ter publication secret and confidential literature issued by and on behalf of Soviet Workers’ Leagues, the Internationale and Trade Union Leagues and iother revolutionary bodies. Revolution, civil war, the precipitation of class warfare opposition to the Peaceful transformation of the existing social and industrial codes are the main aim of these bodies, which are offshoots of the Red Internationale. They aim to shatter the British Empire and to organise a chain of Soviet, republics.

Utterances of Boukharin, leader and dictator-elect of the Russian Soviets, are quoted in the literature as follows:—

“The plundering Empires, England, Germany. Japan and America, have by dint of robbery acquired ascendency over untold expanses of land and vast numbers of people. They have divided our whole planet between them ,and no wonder that in those conquered the working class and the labouring masses are groaning under a double yoke. In order to obtain the victory of the workers, revolution along the whole front and complete and perfect confidence of the various parts of the proletariat, is imperative.

“We must pursue,” added Boukharin, “the tactics of universal support of the international revolution by means of propaganda strikes and revolts in Imperialistic countries. The most effective means of supporting the international revolution is bv armed force. The better we are organised, the better we arm the battalion of workers, and the stronger will be the proletariat dictatorship, The working class must proceed to solve its problems ui a bloody, painful and heroic struggle. Those who praise the trade unions must remember that we regard them as the enemies of our class, and we shall wage unrelenting war against them. The proletariat must prepare and organise international expeditions of war in cases of class struggles.” The recent decision of the Australian Council of Trades Unions under the leadership of Mr. Jock Garden, that they would support the Pan-Pacific Secretariat, involves the unions represented on the council in participation of the aims of Communism The Secretariat is directly affiliated with the Red Internationale whose aims are as quoted in the literature released by Mrs. 'Walsh.
