KENYA CALLING
By NORA K. STRANGE (Stanley Paul.) This is the story of a young widow, Sheila Marsden, who went to East Africa to a relation of her late husband’s, and who eventually got a second husband. This’is about all. really. There is any amount of atmosphere, some local knowledge, lots of whisky, and a girl called Pixie whose first published remark is: “Damned fuggy morning, isn’t it?” But before the story is ended Pixie is married also, which fact may or may not have had a chastening effect on her vocabulary.
