Hastings is to receive a visit from Miss McCorkindale, the brilliant young Australian, who. in addition to acting as Director of Educational Work for the Australian W C.T.U., is an authoress and effective platform speaker. Miss McCorkindale extects to be in Hastings on the 20th. A vote of sympathy was pasUa l bv the Havelock’ North Town Board last night to the relatives of the late Mr. Patrick McCarthy, whose funeral took place yesterday at the Hastings cemetery.
