The Hon. Ameer-Ali is dead, states a London cable. He had a distinguished legal and Parliamentary record, being a member of the Bengal Legislative Council from 1878 to 1883 and a member of the Imperial Legislative Council of India from 1883 to 1885. His publications include many on Eastern laws and religions.
