MORE RECORDS BROKEN BY STUDEBAKER CARS. Director sets new official record for stock cars in its class April 20 and 23 travelling 5000 miles in 4751 consecutive minutes, establishing new record of 63.14 miles per hour. On April 26 Erskine Six established ten new records for stock cars in its dass by travelling 1000 miles in 984 consecutive minutes, an average of 60.97 miles per hour. On April 29 and 30 President Eight established new record for its class by travelling 2000 miles in 1654 consecutive minutes, an average of 72.525 miles per hour. These three new official records established bv Erskine, Director and President models, together with the 25,000 mile record established by Commanders now .give Studebaker products eyery official American stock car record for both open and closed cars —The TOURIST MOTOR Co.. The Rev. Feilden Taylor, of Wellington, who broke his thigh recently, is reported to be progressing satisfactorily.
