Foch Attends Conference

I Foch attended the British Legion conference I at Scarborough, and was made an honorary ’ legionary. H.R.H. the Prince of Wales adI | dressed the 550 delegates. He promised his practical help, praised the legion’s relief work and said that he would accompany the I 10,000 legionaries on their battlefield pilgrimage in August.

Admiral Lord Jellicoe paid a tribute to the memory of the late Earl Haig, and to the thousands of voluntary workers. The Prince of Wales flew back to Sandringham to dine with Their Majesties the King and Queen.

The Duke of York took the salute of 1000 legionaries, including five V.C. winners at the parade in Whitehall. Dean Inge ot Westminster conducted the service at the cenotaph.
