Corbett, A. E. Young, J. W. Callaghan, W. Tweedie, A. Kirkpatrick, H. V. Phillips ,and W. O’Neill. As curtain-raisers to the Hawke’s Bay-Wairarapa match on June 4 it was decided to play the following matches: — Dannevirke-Taradale primary schools, Napier-Hastings third grade, and Te Aute-Napier-Hastings junior representatives. The Wairarapa Union asked if it would be convenient for the Hawke’s Bay junior representatives to meet their representatives at Wairarapa on July 21.—The date was confirmed. Two junior players who were ordered off the field on Saturday last for fighting were suspended for one playing Saturday. The New Zealand Rugby Union advised that the match to he played at Napier against the New South Wales team would be against a Hawke’s Bay team, not a combined team. J. O’Brien was granted a transfer from H. 5.0.8. to M. 8.0.8. subject to his clearance being obtained, and C. Bartlett from the same team to Pirates.

The re-grading of B. Hannah and B. Brown from junior to fourth grade was approved, it being reported that both players had been asked to assist the first XV. during the school holidays.
