In the Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch, Patrick Moore, aged 38, pleaded guilty to eight charges of breaking and entering various houses early this month and committing theft. The police said the accused travelled round as a tinker. To gain entrance he broke the leadlights over the doors or windows and then loosed the catch.
