FOR HAWKE’S BAY DISTRICT ISSUED DAILY BY MR K K, WRAGGE, F R.M.S. EXCLUSIVE TO “TRIBUNE.’ [By Telegraph—Special to the “Tribune.] Birkenhead, May 23. Forecast for 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day, covering the area between Wairoa, Te Aute aud the ranges inland :— Practically no change has taken place since yesterday in the distribution of pressure except that the nucleus of the moderate high pressure system has been driven northward in the' Tasman Sea by the development of a new Antarctic disturbance “Dqchess” in the southwest Tasman. However, the isobario contouring over Hastings and area is more of an anti-cyclonic nature than otherwise .and fair to fine weather should yej obtain with keen nights and morning mists in the low areas. Winds variable, later backing to northerly and freshening. Sea smooth to moderate off the coast. The Dominion Meteorologist telegraphs as follows for 24 hours from 9 a m. this day:—The indications are for moderate southerly winds. There is a prospect of fair weather and milder.
