Wanganui, March 19. A small catalogue of 3990 bales was offered at the last Wanganui wool sale to-day, and a total clearance was made" despite the fact that much of the woof was seedy and not up to the standard of previous sales. The Hawke’s Bay Stockbrokers’ Association report that at the Petane sale yesterday a good yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle were offered to a good attendance of buyers. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. Sydney, March 19. At the wool sales the market throughout was animated, and the demand for all good wools was keen and widely distributed, with values fully aual to late rates. Faulty and unskirted parcels were irregular. Greasy Merino sold to 29jd. FAT STOCK FOR EXPORT. Wellington, Monday The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board advises that the following prices were offering tor fat stock for export at March 17, 1928 Canterbury (prices delivered at works): Prime woolly lambs, 36 and under, lOd; 37 -421b5., 9Jd; 43 and over, 9}. Second quality lambs 9d. FROZEN MEAT MARKET. Butter market: Danish slow, others firm. Danish 194,- per cwt, New Zealand finest 173/- to 176/ per cwt, Australian finest unsalted 166/to 168,- per cwt, salted 166/- to 170/per cwt, Australian G.A.Q. 160- to 164/- per cwt. Total butter imports into United Kingdom last month 583,000 cwts, same period last year 371,000 cwts.

Cheese: Market quiet. Australian white and coloured 94/- to 96/- per cwt, New Zealand white and coloured 98/- to 100/-, Canadian white 104/- to 108 -, Canadian coloured 100/- to 104/-.
