AMATEUR ATHLETICS
HASTINGS MEETING ON THURSDAY, INVITATION TO CHAMPIONS. A special meeting of the executive of the Hastings Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club was held in the Y. M. C. A. rooms last evening, when Mr. R. M. Hewett presided over a good attendance. On the motion of Mr. S. C. Rusbatch, it was decided to hold the postponed meeting on Thursday next at Nelson Park, starting at ?.45 p. m. Tommy Oakley, before leaving Hastings, suggested that Thursday would probably suit him, and the Chib is now in communication with him awaiting his confirmation. Ah invitation will also he extended to E Law the central H. B. Sprint Champion.
