Advice was received from the Napier police to-day that a motor coupe driven by a Maori and believed to be identical with a car stolen on Saturday night at Waipukurau was travelling towards Gisborne. Detectives intercepted the car at Te Arai and arrested the native Hirini (Sid) Te Jleine. After taking a car at Waipawa (as reported by our correspondent there) the same person is believed to have proceeded to Waipukurau and taken another. This latter, the property of Mr. Hector Speedy was taken from the main street of Waipukurau.
