Present—Messrs R. M Chadwick (chairman), C. Louisson, R. Worker. C. Temperton, C. McGhee, H. Stephenson, B. Tweedie, C. Elmes. J. R. Stevenson. V. Rouse. W. J. O’Connell and M. McLeod (secretary). It was decided to place on record appreciation of the efforts of Messrs F. F. Cane. W. J. Hughes and C. U Spackman in arranging matches during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The Question of the date for a visit of a Wellington team to Napier was left to Mr Chadwick and the seerteary, they to make inquiries, as Hawke Cup dates are not yet definitely fixed. The question of financing such a game was briefly touched upon. and it was considered that it could be undertaken provided Wellington sent a first-class team. An estimate of £2O cost to the association was mentioned but that was not thought to be out of place It was considered by some that a Wellington visit if the team were really good, would do more good even than the Australians. lint the association did not intend to be made a trying out ground for eolts. An application was received from the Heretaunga Club for permission to play M. Beuth during the next two months. Rules governing the position were fully discussed. Beuth being a Ricearton Club player, Christeliurch. and being up in this district on vacation. Finally the chairman ruled that the application was out of order.
