RADIO CONCERT
AT NELSON PARK, HASTINGS. FUNDS FOR HOSPITAL SET. On Saturday night next. Nelson Park, Hastings, will be the scene of a great musical demonstration under the auspices of the Hawke’s Bay Radio Society, in aid of funds for the ourclia.se of a radio receiving set for the Hastings Hospital. The demonstration will commence at 8 p.m., when a special electric receiver with several loud speakers will nick up the chimes of the 'Wellington Post Office clock. Radio music from all the Dominion stations will be presented, and. after 9 p.m.. the public are invited to enjoy a dance on the lawn to music from cabarets in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch. An additional feature is the first public demonstration in New Zealand of the famous Panatrope, a radio gramophone combination which produces music as no other instrument can. From both the radio set and Panatrope sufficient volume ig ex pected to carry over the whole of the park. This is the first occasion on which anything on such a scale as this has been attempted in New Zealand, and remembering the worth,- cause, it is hoped the public will give their full support especially, as the admission is bv collection only.
