MINISTER NOT CONTESTING ELECTIONS, SINN FEIN ALSO NOT PARTICIPATING. London, August 28. There was a mild sensation in Dublin when it was announced that Mr Walsh (Minister of Post and Telegraphs) was resigning and not con testing the election. It is reported that he is abandoning politics. The “Daily Herald’’ describes him as always something of an Ishmael in the Cabinet. He is a whole-hog protectionist and ultra-Natnonalist. It is announced that the Sinn Fein is not participating in the elections. It is stated that this is due to antagonism to Mr de Valera’s acceptance of the oath.—(A and N.Z)
