NORFOLK MAKES FEEBLE EFFORT.
AN INNINGS VICTORY.
London, Aug. 27. The New Zealand cricketers beat Norfolk by an innings and 97 runs. t When they resumed to-day the New Zealanders’ seven outstanding wickets fell in an hour for 53 runs, R. Rought taking full advantage of the drying pitch. Dacre was overanxious to complete the century and was bowled by a full tosser, after batting 140 minutes, hitting three sixes and five fours. The partnership with Blunt for the fourth wicket yielded 169. Blunt was batting three hours and knocked up only one four. Norfolk’s batting was feeble until Falcon and Nichols became associated and added 68 for the fifth wicket. Nichols gave.a sound display.
