General de Rivera, of Spain, in a statement through the British United Press Association regarding the Gen eral Assembly on October 10, says it will be composed of representatives oi the State, municipalities,, patriotic bodies, professions, private enterprises and others, totalling approximately 400. They will not enact laws, but will discuss in public sessions subjects recommended to them, or proposals which warrant the approval of the Cabinet.

The ketch Lena was found floating bottom upwards two miles north-west of Black Bock, off Cabbage Bay, this morning. According to advice received by the Superintendent of Marine at Auckland no particulars are available. She is a vessel of 19 tons grots, owned by Mr. F. E. Wills.—(Press Association.)

Mr. Arthur Webb, of the engineering staff of the "H.B Tribune?’ who is leaving on Friday next to take ip his residence in Australia, was this morning met by his fellow workers, and Mr. H. Cameron, acting chief engineer, presented him with a hand, some nocket wallet, at the same time expressing regret at Mr. Webb’s departure but wishing him the best of luck in the future. Mr. Webb suitably replied.

The Egyptian Government has decided to erect statues to Zaghloul Pasha in Cairo and Alexandria and also to purchase the Pasha's home for use as a museum wherein they will erect a mausoleum for his remains. Other memorials include the preservation of the house in which he was born, and the foundation of a school and a hospital.
