WAY TO BEAUTY, GRACE AND SLIMNESS
I (By Dr. Harold Dealden, for the London “Sunday Express.” Exercise Vl.—Bending and Squatting Stand erect, heels well apart. Place one bell between the feet in line with the toes and the other bell in a corresponding position just behind the heels. Raise the hands above the head and then stoop down from the hips, keeping the knees straight ,and strike the forward bell smartly with the two hands. Recoil smartly from the bell to the original position, hands ovei head. Again stoop down from the hips, at the same time bending the knees and squatting as low as possible, reaching the hands between the feet so as to strike the rearmost bell with the two hands as before. Resume the erect position smartly, hands over the head.
Repeat till tired. NOTE.—The movements must be strong and purposeful, and not in the nature of a clumsy swing, and the bell must he struck accurately and neatly.
