SPECIAL MAIL SERVICE.
A BIG SAVING.
(Received 26. 11.45 a.m.) London, August 25. Construction is comnleted of London’s latest tube, which is specially built to carry London's mail matter. There will be six stations between M hiteehapel and Paddington. Driverless electric trains carry 45 tons of mail in each direction an hour, saving postal van transit to the extent of 400,000 miles annually. —(A. and N.Z.)
