The members of the committee of the Hastings Golf Club met Mr W. J. Rowe manager of the Hastings branch of the Bank of New Zealand, and captain of the club, last night to bid him adieu and good fortune on the eve of hfs departure for Nelson, to the charge of which branch he has been transferred on promotion. Mr L. J. Mackersey, president of the dug, in expressing the good wishes of the members, presented Mr Rowe with a handsome case of pipes.
