FARM MANAGER APPOINTEDMUCH WORK BEING DONE. Palmerston North, Aug. 24. Mr W. J. McCulloch Senior Gov eminent Agricultural Instructor for Wellington and Southern Hawke’s Bay District, has been appointed farm manager of the Massey Agricultural College. The last six weeks much work has have been done on the property acquired for a college. Extensive drainage and ploughing were carried out and much fencing done. A flock of sheep and several pedigree cattle are already on the property.
In connection with the action of the Government last week in ceasing work on the property, this only applied to preparations for the erection of a milking shed, dairyman’s cottage and also the drain from the McHardy property to Tiritea stream, this being a very small portion of the work on the estate.
