PUBLIC LECTURE BY PROFESSOR MUBPHY. HASTINGS W.E.A. TO-NIGHT. “Public Finance in N.Z. from Bal lance to Massey” is the subject upon which Professor B. E. Murphy, professor of economics at Victoria University Collefe will lecture to-uigut at 8 o’clock, in Wesley .Hall, Hastings. Professor Murphy is well known throughout New Zealand for Bis ability as a public lecturer, and to-night be will clothe the prefund subject of public finance with intense interest, and illuminate it with pointed wit. The public are invited to attend this lecture, which is being held under the auspices of the W.E.A. and Victoria University College, as undoubtedly it. will reveal the immense importance to the community at large of the work now being undertaken by the University in the extension of W.E.A. classes.
