A fire broke out in a back room of the Union Bank of Australia, Masterton, at 4 o’clock yesterday morning. The cause is believed to bo hot ashes thrown on top of some kindling wood. The outbreak was observed *by a baker just commencing work, and was extinguished before much damage was done. The building was insured.
