NAPJER—HASTINGS TEAM. TO PLAY DANNEVIRKE. The following Napier-Hastings team has been selected to play Dannevirke at Dannevirke next Saturday:— Full-back: Sidet. Three-quarters: Chetwin, MacDonald (capt.), White. Five-eighths: McLea, Elliott. Half-back: Eddie. Back Row: Heifford, Batchelor. Middle Row: Lindsay, Reid. Ijpck: PersonFront Row: Yule, Wynn. HASTINGS SUB-UNION MEETS. The Hastings Rugby Sub-Union met last evening, Mr. J. A. Fraser presiding. M.A C. and Te Aute College will meet on Nelson Park, Hastings, next Saturday. A challenge by the Celtic Club for the Sachs-Johnson Shield was accepted. Wairoa wrote accepting September 14 as the date for the Hastings v. Wairoa game. As Hastings is unable, however, to get together a good team, the match is being abandoned. It was resolved to hang the Lane Shield in the sub-union meeting room. The takings last Saturday are to be allotted to the Injured Players Fund, and amount to over £l4. It was decided to close the junior and third grade competition, Hastings being the winners in each case. HASTINGS FIXTURES. The following games have been arranged to take place at Hastings on Saturday:— SENIORS. M.A.C. v. Te Aute, Nelson Park [ No. 1, Hastings, 3 p.m.

THIRD GRADE.

Celtic v. Hastings (for SachsJohnston Shield), Nelson Park No. 1, 1.30 p m. FOURTH GRADE. Fourth grade fixtures will be announced later.
