RUSSIAN CUSTOMS FRAUDS
ACCUSED SENTENCED TO DEATH (Received 23, 12.15 p.m.) London, Aug. 22. “The Times’ ” Riga correspondent reports that after a 19 days’ trial of five Customs officials and traders charged with passing parcels through Customs by means of false declarations and bribery, the accused were found guilty bv’ the Minsk Revolutionary Tribunal and sentenced to death.—(“Times” cable).
