BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.

(Io the Editor.) Sir, —lour correspondent, signing liiniselt “Commonsense.” is I fear, commonsense in name only, and has •orgotten the fact that Nov z.i is a Christian country, therefore it is imperative that her children have Christian teaching in the schools. He. apparently, was brought up without anv religious instruction, and allowed to choose his own relirici when he was “old enough to reason about such matters.” He evidently forgot to make a choice, and perhaps he is not old enough vet? At any rate it would lie a great nitv if a large number of children grew up to be the same kind of person he must be, so the dire necessity for religious instruction is shown very plainly. —Yours etc., A MOTHER. Hastings, 18/8/27.
