Miss J. Macdonald returned to Wellington after a holiday in Hastings and Napier.

Mrs Athol Williams, of Pukehou. spent a few days this week in Wanganui.

Mrs M Murray has been staving with friends in Wellington.

Mr and Mrs Rowe, of the Bank of New Zealand, who move to Nelson next week, will be greatly missed i.v a large circle of friends. • * • Miss Nellie M. Scanlan, who is well known in journalistic circles, is leaving New Zealand bv the Marania on September 2nd for Sydney, and will sail by the Tasman on the 24th for Singapore, via Java. Miss Scanlan will make London her headquarters later on. She was abroad a year or two ago, and visited America. Canada, and the United Kingdom, and on this occasion also looks forward to a very interesting trip.
