Westerman and Co.’s "Total Eclipse’’ Sale definitely ends tomorrow. In anticipation of the usual deluge of business at the conclusion of their sales, all departments will make a special clearance of "throwouts” as the result of stocktaking, whilst all remnants and oddments will be sold at half the marked sale prices.

Messrs Smith and Sharp draw attention to their Saturday auction sale at 11 a.m. to-morrow. Several pens of prime table birds, pullets, and laving hens will be offered followed by a quantity of timber, a Ford motor-car, disc harrows, ploughs, and farm implements. Sundries. including a line of slashers, spaded’ rakes, and a splendid kit of carpenter's tools, also strawberry plants, fruit, and produce will lie offered.

The general public are reminded of Messrs Gill Bios.’ sale at their mart to-morrow. Fruit and produce will be sold at 10 am., followed bv poultry in big variety, some fine table birds, dlicks and chicks being listed for sale. Some prime porkers, weaners. slips and stores will fill the pig pens. Dairy stock, on account of Mr A. J. Baird will be sold 1 with a guarantee. Other cattle, on account of various clients, will also be sold. A huge number of useful sundries will lie sold.

Lovers of good music are reminder of the organ recital to be given bv Miss Clark in St. Andrew's Church this evening at half-past seven. Tht programme is a ver- attractive one. including numbers from Bach. Mendelssohn. Handel. Haydn, and other great composers, and should afford keen enjoyment to the listener. Two anthems will be rendered bv St Andrew's Choir, and Miss Steele. M.A.. L.A 8.. will sing a solo.
