Mr John Oliver, Prime Minister of British Columbia, aged 71 years is dead, says a cablegram from Victoria. Death followed an illness of several months, which resulted in deceased's retirement from the active leadership in July.
Following the resignation of M r L. *- . Mander ALA.. who has accepted a post at the University of Washing, ton. Mr N. M. Richmond. BA. has been appointed director of tutorial classes under the Auckland University College Council. The appointment will take effect next January.
